HOW SLOWING DOWN EACH MORNING CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER

Image
Slow Morning -  Photo by Ron Lach : https://www.pexels.com Back then, I used to equate productivity with constant busyness. My days revolved around ticking items off an endless to-do list, multitasking my way through tasks to accomplish as much as possible in a short amount of time. Slow mornings? To me, those were synonymous with laziness, reserved only for weekends or luxurious holidays at a serene hotel. And even during those rare moments, I’d often feel restless, plagued by guilt for “wasting” time. The habit of staying perpetually busy had become second nature—an autopilot mode that left me feeling disconnected from the concept of unwinding. I tried, on occasion, to indulge in a slow morning, but my mind would always wander back to what I could be doing instead. Productivity had become my identity, and the thought of slowing down felt foreign, almost wrong. Then came the pandemic, and the whole world hit the brakes. Suddenly, my packed schedule was wiped clean. Work was...

LET THEM, LET ME, AND LET GOD: FINDING PEACE IN CONFLICT

Image
Peace and balance -  Photo by Nandhu Kumar: https://www.pexels.com Recently, I’ve started to notice something about myself: I have this strong tendency to avoid conflict. I shy away, not because I can’t handle confrontation, but because I just feel so tired . Emotionally tired, mentally tired—as if all my energy gets drained the moment a disagreement arises. I tell myself that growth is my goal. I want to become a better version of myself. And conflict? It often feels like a stumbling block in my path. Why would I willingly invite resistance when all I want is peace? That’s where Mel Robbins ’ “Let Them” theory comes into play. If someone wants to lie about me, let them. If they think poorly of me, let them. It’s not about letting others walk all over me; it’s about giving up control over what I cannot control. And so, as Mel suggests, from "Let Them", we shift to “Let Me.” Now, let me find my own peace. Let me focus on what I can control: my reactions, my thoughts, my ...

RADICAL ACCEPTANCE: THE ART OF TRANSFORMING YOUR LIFE

Image
Transformation -  Photo by Alexas Fotos: https://www.pexels.com Yesterday, something unexpected sparked a small but powerful shift in my perspective. As I turned on a random podcast suggested by Spotify, a simple yet profound phrase immediately caught my attention: “radical acceptance.” Intriguing, right? Before even diving into the episode, I found myself resonating with the idea. By the time I finished listening—all while briskly power-walking—my mind was buzzing with inspiration. The podcaster shared a personal story that deeply resonated with me. It was one of those moments where every word seemed tailor-made for my current season of life. The key takeaway was clear: if I want real transformation—if I want to make that massive leap forward—it starts with radical acceptance. WHY VISUALIZATION ISN’T WORKING FOR YOU (AND HOW TO FIX IT)

Image
Visualization - Photo by Alina Rossoshanska/www.pexels.com    Have you ever tried visualization and felt like it just didn’t work for you? Perhaps you’ve followed all the advice from manifestation gurus who promise that visualization is the key to unlocking your dreams. You might even have read about the science behind it, where studies show that the mind and body struggle to distinguish between reality and visualization. And yet, despite all this convincing evidence, you find yourself wondering, “Why isn’t it working for me?” If this sounds like you, you’re not alone. I’ve been there too. Like many others, I tried creating vivid mind movies of my goals. I imagined myself living my dream life and achieving my biggest aspirations. But the results were… underwhelming. I questioned everything: Was I doing it wrong? Was I too skeptical from the start? Or... maybe visualization only works for certain types of people. Frustrated, I eventually gave up on the idea, convinced th...

WHY LEAVING MY 9-5 JOB WAS THE BEST DECISION FOR PEACE AND SUCCESS

Image
Happy Job Happy Life -  Photo by Ivan Samkov: https://www.pexels.com The city is finally buzzing with life again. As the new year’s holiday ends, streets hum with activity—cars zipping by and people hurriedly rushing to their daily grind.  And here I am, sitting on the porch, enjoying my slow morning and letting my thoughts drift.  Slowly, I feel an immense sense of gratitude for the life I’ve chosen. Forever I will always be grateful to have been guided to leave my 9-5 job. Since that day, my life has tremendously changed and it gets better every day.  After raining the whole day yesterday, nature granted us with wonders today. The gentle chirping of birds filled the crisp morning air. Flocks of birds gracefully take to the sky, the vibrant orange hues of dawn dissolving into soft blues as the day unfolded.  Also read: Don't Rush into New Year's Resolution - Do This First ‘What a peaceful morning,’ I thought to myself. IF YOU THINK NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS DON'T WORK FOR YOU, HOP ON WITH ME

Image
Fresh start - Photo by Nik on Unsplash As the new year approaches, I've made a bold decision. This time, I won’t complicate things with my New Year’s resolution. No long lists, no lofty ambitions spread across different areas of my life, and no detailed breakdown of goals or targets to hit every month. Not this time. Not again. I’ve learned it the hard way. For years, I approached resolutions with high hopes and structured plans, only to end each year feeling disheartened and disempowered. The meticulously crafted roadmaps didn’t align with how I naturally operate, leaving me feeling demotivated. The thing is… I refuse to give up. I want to give myself another chance after another chance. So, here I am, compassionately giving myself a fresh opportunity to start over. Learning from the above experiences, this year, I pivot. I’m taking a completely new approach—one that feels liberating and authentic. Also read: Your Guide to an Effective End-of-Year Journaling Session Two Priorit...
