Last night, even though I went to bed at my usual time, I found it hard to actually fall asleep. I wasn’t sure what time I was finally asleep, but for sure I was still awake the next hour. Therefore, I expected that this morning, after a restless night, I would wake up a bit later, or at least at my usual time, given the lack of sleep. But no, I woke up an hour earlier than usual.
Mathematically, actually I spent roughly the same amount of time sleeping as I normally do, despite the rocky start the night before. Yet, the difference in how I felt today was striking. Yesterday, I woke up with a heaviness that lingered in both my mind and my heart, but today, I woke up with a profound sense of gratitude and lightness. It felt as if I had been reborn. like I was starting a fresh, new chapter in my life.
What changed?
I think the Sedona Method I practiced the day before worked its usual magic. This method, if you’re not familiar, is a transformative technique designed to help you release stress and emotions that no longer serve you. It’s like hitting the reset button on your mental and emotional state, allowing you to let go of the unnecessary weight you may not even realize you’re carrying.

For me, practicing it feels like setting down a heavy backpack after a long, uphill journey. This morning, the effects were undeniable. I woke up with a profound sense of calm, as though the clutter in my mind had cleared, making space for peace and gratitude to take its place. I felt centered, aligned, and deeply thankful.
As I lay there savoring this newfound clarity, my heart filled with gratitude for God’s unwavering love and guidance, as well as for helping me reconnect with my true self. I found myself thanking my body as well, recognizing it for its resilience and ability to adapt. Despite the challenges, it had managed to pull through and grant me the deep, restorative sleep I so desperately needed. It was a moment of realization: our bodies truly are remarkable. I’ve come to see mine not as something separate from me, but as a trusted ally, a partner that works tirelessly to support and sustain me.
This shift in perspective has been transformative. Understanding and valuing my body has created a powerful sense of partnership, making my inner work (whether it’s releasing old wounds or connecting with my higher self) far more seamless. It feels like having a constant companion by my side, someone who cheers me on through life’s twists and turns. No longer do I feel alone in navigating the challenges of life. Instead, I feel supported and empowered, knowing my body is always there, quietly yet steadfastly helping me along the way.
As I reflect, I realize how much of my healing and growth has come from learning to listen to and love my body. It’s no longer a battle between me and my body. Instead, we are one. And together, we’ve found a smooth rhythm in releasing what no longer serves me. This harmony makes it easier to do the deep emotional work needed to grow and connect with my true self. It’s like having a trusted friend who’s always there to support me without judgment, without hesitation.

This feeling of being aligned with my true self (of returning to my center) is truly the best feeling. It feels like home. It’s as if I’ve found the place where I truly belong, where I can just be, without striving or pushing. It’s a reminder that we all have this inner core of peace and alignment inside us. And when we’re connected to it, everything falls into place. We feel whole. We feel at peace.
As I sit in this state of gratitude, I remember something my spiritual guru once taught me. He said, “Life is not a line graph where you just go up and down. Life is like a spiral. You move around the spiral, and the spiral keeps going up, just like the swirling movement of a tornado. It may feel like you’re off-balance sometimes, and you may get thrown off the spiral. But remember this: you’re not going down. When you regain your balance, you’ll find yourself back on the spiral, moving up once again.”
This teaching has stayed with me, especially in moments when I’ve felt unbalanced or lost. It’s a reminder that life is not a straight path. We will have ups and downs, but the important thing is to keep going, keep moving forward, even if it feels like we’re spiraling. Every time we find our center again, we return to the spiral, moving upward toward our highest potential.
So, today, I’m filled with gratitude not just for the restful sleep I had, but for the wisdom and lessons I’ve learned along the way. The connection to my body, the release of old emotional baggage, and the ongoing work of staying aligned with my true self have all contributed to the deep sense of peace I feel today. And I’m ready to move forward, spiraling upward, knowing that I am supported by both my body and my higher self.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that we are never truly alone on this journey. Our bodies, minds, and spirits are all interconnected, working together as a beautiful team. When we learn to honor this connection, to release what no longer serves us, we open ourselves up to a life that feels freer, more authentic, and deeply aligned with our true selves.
So, folks, whether you’re facing challenges or feeling weighed down by life’s burdens, remember this: You are not alone. Your body, mind, and spirit are always with you, supporting you every step of the way. With each moment, you have the power to return to your center, to move closer to the balanced, peaceful, and empowered person you are becoming. Trust in yourself! You are your greatest ally on this journey.
