WHY VISUALIZATION ISN’T WORKING FOR YOU (AND HOW TO FIX IT)

Image
Visualization - Photo by Alina Rossoshanska/www.pexels.com    Have you ever tried visualization and felt like it just didn’t work for you? Perhaps you’ve followed all the advice from manifestation gurus who promise that visualization is the key to unlocking your dreams. You might even have read about the science behind it, where studies show that the mind and body struggle to distinguish between reality and visualization. And yet, despite all this convincing evidence, you find yourself wondering, “Why isn’t it working for me?” If this sounds like you, you’re not alone. I’ve been there too. Like many others, I tried creating vivid mind movies of my goals. I imagined myself living my dream life and achieving my biggest aspirations. But the results were… underwhelming. I questioned everything: Was I doing it wrong? Was I too skeptical from the start? Or... maybe visualization only works for certain types of people. Frustrated, I eventually gave up on the idea, convinced th...

A SIMPLE SELF-CARE HABIT WORTH TRYING

Fresh flowers Gals, do you like flowers?  I used to think that it's a common thing for girls to like flowers. But I guess it might be a cultural assumption when a few weeks ago I saw something that flipped that idea in my head. So, I was walking past the new florist in town with a banner that caught my eye. It read: "Some girls don't like flowers, but they'll never say no to receiving them". I stopped in my tracks. It felt like a mix of a joke and some oddly profound truth. I stood there and wondering: Is it true that there are girls who don't like flowers? Well, maybe for some, it's the practicality as flowers don't last. Meanwhile, others might see it as personal preferences.  Whatever it is, here's the catch: whether or not someone loves flowers doesn't seem to matter as much as the gesture behind them.  I mean... think about it: it's not the bouquet itself that makes us smile. Instead, it's the thoughtfulness of the person handing i...

WHY LEAVING MY 9-5 JOB WAS THE BEST DECISION FOR PEACE AND SUCCESS

Image
Happy Job Happy Life -  Photo by Ivan Samkov: https://www.pexels.com The city is finally buzzing with life again. As the new year’s holiday ends, streets hum with activity—cars zipping by and people hurriedly rushing to their daily grind.  And here I am, sitting on the porch, enjoying my slow morning and letting my thoughts drift.  Slowly, I feel an immense sense of gratitude for the life I’ve chosen. Forever I will always be grateful to have been guided to leave my 9-5 job. Since that day, my life has tremendously changed and it gets better every day.  After raining the whole day yesterday, nature granted us with wonders today. The gentle chirping of birds filled the crisp morning air. Flocks of birds gracefully take to the sky, the vibrant orange hues of dawn dissolving into soft blues as the day unfolded.  Also read: Don't Rush into New Year's Resolution - Do This First ‘What a peaceful morning,’ I thought to myself. A gentle breeze played on my face, and I f...

ELEVATE YOUR NEW YEAR TO BE MORE RESONANCE WITH THIS APPROACH

Image
Elevate Your New Year -  Photo by Matheus Bertelli: https://www.pexels.com Happy New Year, folks!  As we step into the beginning chapter of the year, I wish 2025 will be a year that’s overflowing with love, joy, and prosperity for us all. Anywho, how excited are you to embrace this fresh start? I know, I do! I’m brimming with anticipation, and here I’m sharing my approach that has worked so well with me for a couple of years, that I will continue applying this year.  For years, I treated my New Year’s resolutions as a solitary ritual, a quiet promise made to myself. No one around me ever seemed to talk about their goals, so I assumed this kind of introspection was a private affair, something to be nurtured quietly. There was a certain shyness, too—a reluctance to admit to others what I hoped for or feared failing at, as if speaking it aloud might jinx it or reveal too much. I’d even read somewhere that keeping your dreams to yourself was wiser, a way to guard their...

IF YOU THINK NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS DON'T WORK FOR YOU, HOP ON WITH ME

Image
Fresh start - Photo by Nik on Unsplash As the new year approaches, I've made a bold decision. This time, I won’t complicate things with my New Year’s resolution. No long lists, no lofty ambitions spread across different areas of my life, and no detailed breakdown of goals or targets to hit every month. Not this time. Not again. I’ve learned it the hard way. For years, I approached resolutions with high hopes and structured plans, only to end each year feeling disheartened and disempowered. The meticulously crafted roadmaps didn’t align with how I naturally operate, leaving me feeling demotivated. The thing is… I refuse to give up. I want to give myself another chance after another chance. So, here I am, compassionately giving myself a fresh opportunity to start over. Learning from the above experiences, this year, I pivot. I’m taking a completely new approach—one that feels liberating and authentic. Also read: Your Guide to an Effective End-of-Year Journaling Session Two Priorit...

DON'T RUSH INTO NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS—DO THIS FIRST

Image
New Year's Resolutions -  Photo by freestocks.org: https://www.pexels.com Do you like making New Year’s resolutions? But do you sometimes find yourself get stuck even before mid year? If you do, I got you. Well, I used to love crafting mine, imagining a fresh start filled with all the positive energy. Yet, over the years, I started to acknowledge the same pattern repeated: m y resolutions often turned into little more than beautifully penned aspirations in my journal, forgotten weeks later as life swept me away. Funny, though... how each year I’d tell myself, “This time will be different.” But it never was. I don’t know how you see it, but I found myself amusing knowing that I still didn’t give up doing it. I wanted to improve myself, and I knew that I shouldn't play the broken old record. I mean... wouldn't I just be a fool: doing the same thing but expecting different results? I turned to every piece of advice I could find. I attended seminars hosted by inspiring speak...
